Mattel's Inspiring Women series

Barbie created an Inspiring Women series which celebrates women who have made strides in their fields and broken down barriers for women across age, race and religion, particularly in traditionally male-dominated areas.

And while I salute them for highlighting the contribution of women to society, I didn't buy any of the dolls, simply because they used generic face molds instead of facial likenesses. I mean, I do like Frida Kahlo using the Nichelle mold but the others are 'meh' to me. I confess too that I like and appreciate the Rosa Parks doll using one of the new fashionista molds, but I was most disappointed with Amelia Earhart using the Mackie mold.

So here we are with the two latest releases, a Generation Girl Billie Jean and a Louboutin Florence Nightingale.
